Bill Jones

Pastor and Founder of New Life Community Church

The Pastor's hometown is Republic, MO. He moved to Bolivar in 1986. He has been married to his wife, Sandie, for over 44 years. He has two sons that are both married and many beautiful grand children. His interests include crappie fishing, metal detecting, playing guitar, civil war history, blacksmithing, and smoking meat.

Church Secretary and Ladies Ministry

Tina Obert

Tina has been married to her husband Dean since 1996, and the family has been a part of the church since 2001. They have two girls who have grown up in the church are active in praise and worship. Tina's hometown is Dunnegan, MO. Her interests include reading, baking, organizing, and spending time with family and friends. 

She can always be found keeping the church in proper order and is in charge of ladies' ministry fellowship events including the annual Mother's Day Tea.  Tina can also be found heading up fellowship dinners and holiday gatherings for the church and is always willing to help wherever it is needed.

Robert & Becky Baker

Robert and Becky have been married since 1991 and have been active members of New Life since 1993. Robert is a life long resident of Bolivar, and Becky was born in Turlock, California, but was raised just a county over and graduated from Stockton High School.

The Bakers have 3 daughters and one son.  Their oldest daughter, Allison, is the leader of Elevate Youth, and the whole family is involved in church.  Robert is involved with the men's' ministry and serves as a valuable assistant to the Pastor. Becky often helps coordinate ladies' events and fellowship dinners.  Robert and Becky lead the Sunday school and Children's church and can be called on to lead home bible studies to individuals, families, or small groups.  


Robert and Becky both love God, love spending time with family and friends, and enjoy traveling when they have the chance.

Donna Hunt

Donna and her husband Billy have been married since 1992 and live in Bolivar. They have two adult children, Kaitlyn and Brady who both grew up in the church.  In 1997 she became a part of New Life Church. She loves being involved in the church and reaching out to others. Donna is in charge of P.U.R.E. ministry and directs holiday productions.  She can also be found lending a hand anywhere it is needed.

To quote her, she says, “ This church is home to me.  God is good all the time.  He is our strength when we are weak.  He restores our broken lives and fills our hearts with joy.  Try Jesus and you're sure to be fulfilled.”


Hyphen Leaders

Kelly and Amber Babb

Kelly was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Amber was born in Kansas City and raised in Stockton but moved to Colorado in 2008.   Kelly and Amber married in 2009 and moved to Missouri in 2010.  The couple moved to Bolivar in 2012, and have been a part of the church since 2014.  They have two children and many loving pets.

Kelly and Amber are the heart of the Hyphen program, and often coordinate with Elevate Youth for events such as NAYC, group prayer, and for service projects.  

Amber loves to bake and cook, while Kelly loves working on cars.  The couple loves camping, traveling and spending time with their friends and church family.

Elevate Youth Leader

Allison Baker

Allison is a Bolivar native and grew up a part of New Life Church.  She is a 2020 graduate from Southwest Baptist University with a major in Computer Information Science. 

She is the leader of Elevate Youth and works closely with the Hyphen group on many service projects.  Allison is also a part of the sound and media team and coordinates special Youth led services at the church.  She enjoys reading, biking, and crafts with her friends. 

Head Usher

William Noble

Will grew up as a military dependent and has lived in many states including California, Hawaii, Arizona, and Kansas before settling in Missouri with his wife Cheryl.  The couple settled in Missouri in 2014 where they became part of the New Life Church family and were joined in marriage by Pastor Bill Jones at the church.  

In addition to being the Head Usher, Will can often be found helping the Pastor with maintenance and repairs around the church, and frequently accompanies the Pastor when he teaches at other churches.  When he is not working on projects around his home in Springfield or at the church, Will and Cheryl enjoy spending time in nature, visiting with friends and family, and traveling.
